Graduates' Volunteering Program

Over the past 3 months, many more graduates joined the Graduates' Volunteering Program, serving as role models at schools and various programs in the community (by telling their personal stories), mentoring children, and accompanying Ethiopian Israeli university students and IDF soldiers. The main programs with which we cooperate in this area include:

- Ofek Labagrut Program, in the framework of which our graduates help high school students complete their matriculation exams by providing them with afternoon tutoring lessons in small groups or individually.

- Aharai! Organization, which aims to increase Ethiopian Israeli youth's willingness to serve in more major jobs in the IDF.

- "A Different Lesson", which works to advance equal opportunities in education, to encourage the public's significant involvement in the educational system, and to create a bridge between various professionals and disadvantaged high school students.

- Ziv Neurim Organization, which was established by former navy commandos in September, 2000 in memory of their friend, Ziv Levi, who fell in the line of duty. The organization operates its activities throughout the country – from Haifa in the North to Kiryat Malachi in the South – and offers a year-long unique training program involving sea-activities in order to prevent youth at risk from dropping out of school.

- Sparks of Science, which is a program at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot.
